Raw Silk 

All silk comes from the cocoon of the silkworm (actually a caterpillar). Traditional silk uses the long strands & undergoes a processing treatment to give it a soft feel & shine. Unlike traditional silk, raw silk is unprocessed & uses the shorter silk fibers left over after the spinning process. Raw silk proteins produced by the silkworm during the cocoon process remain with the fabric & are beneficial to skin & hair health. It is hypoallergenic & suitable for all types of skin. The shorter fibers give raw silk a coarser, uneven texture that is slightly knobbed, making it an excellent exfoliant.
