Don Post Studios brought the art of mask-making to multiple generations over their years of operation. As the new caretakers of the Don Post brand, Trick or Treat Studios have sourced and refreshed many of the iconic designs to bring them to a new audience and make them available for the first time in many years. Trick or Treat Studios is proud to present the 1975 Mask. Expertly sculpted by Justin Mabry, it has all the familiar features of a spine-chilling character, Michael Myers, and a well-known Captain from Star Trek, Captain Kirk. His plain face increases the fear factor, and the attached hair adds to the effect. The mask worn by Michael Myers in the Halloween movies was based on a Captain Kirk mask worn by William Shatner in Star Trek. Production designer Tommy Lee Wallace bought a cheap Captain Kirk mask from a Hollywood costume shop. Wallace repainted the mask white. He made the eyeholes larger and darkened the hair. Michael Myers first wore the mask in the 1978 film Halloween after escaping from Smith's Grove Sanitarium. He wore a version of the original mask for all installments of the franchise, except for Halloween III: Season of the Witch. Minor adjustments were made to the mask over time. Costumes are not included. One size fits most adults and some teens. Made of latex, with synthetic hair.
