Koyama has made steady progress since his album debut in 1987, and is now one of Japan's leading pianists. One year after his last album "Vocalise," Koyama's passionate and ambitious work challenges the limits of expression of the piano as an instrument. This is Koyama's first recording of Franck and Wagner (2013 is the Wagner year). This is also the first recording of Chopin's late masterpiece, the Fantasy Polonaise. 2013 is also the year of Rachmaninoff, and this new recording will be released in the New Year, a year in which Koyama, a specialist in Rachmaninoff, is expected to be very active.
