Description:
Suk & Dvorak by Trio Carénine Suk & Dvorak by Trio Carénine, a trio formed in 2009. The name of the group comes from Tolstoy's novel "Anna Karenina," and they have a particular interest in Russian and Eastern European music. Their 《Dumky》(録音:2019, MIR 472) was highly acclaimed, and now they have a new record with the combination of Dvorak and Suk. The program features Dvořák's masterpiece No. 3, Suk's early piano trio in C minor, which was completed with Dvořák's advice, and an elegy dedicated to the Czech poet Zeiel. The performance is also very strong, backed by their love and deep understanding of Dvořák. Violinist Charlotte Juillard has been a member of the Trio since 2021. Trio Carénine studied at the Conservatoire de Paris with the Ysaye String Quartet and took master classes with Pressler and Bayerle. She won the Special Prize/Pro Musicios Society Prize at the 5th Haydn Chamber Music Competition, and in 2013 she won the highest prize (2nd prize) at the International Munich Competition.
