WHAT IS A FOUNDATIONLESS JIB CRANE?

A foundationless jib crane, often known as a slab-mounted jib crane system, can be simply bolted to reinforced concrete, meaning that no special foundation needs to be prior poured.

Foundationaless swing arm cranes can practically be installed almost anywhere on your site, and can be easily relocated if ever required – what’s better than having a choice?

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: It is recommended that foundationless jib cranes be mounted on reinforced concrete with a minimum depth of 6” avoiding any gaps, cracks, or expansion joints (within a given area, size of area should be determined by a qualified engineer). Anchor bolts must have a 4 ¾” minimum embedment.

ABOUT THIS MODEL

Capable of handling loads of up to 1000lbs, a wide range of specifications are available, with over all span options from 15ft – 20ft, and under boom heights from 8ft right up to 20ft – simply selection your preferred options from the dropdown menu above.

Offering the same features as the classic heavy-duty swing arm crane system from HIS, but with the added benefits of being able to bolt directly into reinforced concrete, this pillar-base model boasts smooth 360-degree rotation, and has been built-to-last, even when put through the rigors of constant and excess usage.

HSI’s heavy-duty Jib Crane includes:

• A heavy-duty assembly with reinforcing side plates
• Full plate style gussets for maximum load distribution
• Heavy duty top thrust bearings with pressure fitted housing for easy rotation
• Heavy duty roller cage; steel rollers with low friction bearings; adjustable tension bolts; keeper bar; and zerk fittings
• Anti-slip angles to prevent head removal from accidental impact, and spacer rods to prevent head assembly plate flexing

All Cranes manufactured by HSI have a design factor of 15% of the allowable capacity for hoist weight and 25% of the allowable capacity for impact.

Additionally, all designs meet AISC standards, all cranes are in accordance with OSHA 1910.179, and all designing and manufacturing is done in accordance to ANSI B31.11.
