Working for important publishers and editors in the 1950’s Marc Chagall authorized “suites” of illustrations for art collectors.  Owners of these illustrations could either keep the collection intact or elect to have them individually framed. Mr. Levi, the owner of the Dali Universe seized upon this opportunity and bought a number of these collections and has made them available individually to art collectors.
